MFC Adult Program

Our arts are rooted in self-defense and world class fitness. The MFC Method of Mixed Martial Arts is second to
none. MFC Systems combines the world's most effective martial arts styles, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Escrima,
Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do and MMA to create the ultimate self-defense. Together these elements help to combine the
energy of the mind, body and spirit, which leads to overall personal development and well-being.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

Founded on efficient movements and refined throughout the decades by the Gracie family and their students. This
combat-tested method is intended to teach practical self-defense through submission grappling and the striking
arts. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been specifically designed to defend against punches, kicks, chokes, headlocks, bear
hugs, and many other common forms of street aggression. You will learn not only techniques specific to certain
situations, but also universal self-defense strategies through a comprehensive look at up-to-date grappling and self-
defense techniques. Your fitness will improve through a comprehensive warm-up and physical conditioning program
included in every single class.

Thai Boxing

Thai Boxing combines punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes into a self-defense system known for its power and
effectiveness. Thai Boxing training methods are unsurpassed in developing speed, power, and superb
cardiovascular endurance. By using specialized striking pads called "Thai Pads", students can practice punches,
kicks, knees, and elbow strikes in combination and at full force. Thai pad training also improves reaction time by
allowing students to react immediately to the actions of the pad holder. Trainers will commonly wear a belly pad
around the abdominal area so that students can deliver straight kicks and knees at anytime during the training.

Other training methods commonly used include, heavy bag training and controlled sparring drills. Heavy bag
training plays an important part in developing power and conditioning, and reinforces the techniques practiced on
the pads. Sparring is a means to test technique, skills, range, strategy, and timing against a partner. Muay Thai
sparring is often conducted at light to medium contact to aviod injury.

Competition training is conducted during our  Fight Team Class.

Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do

Jeet Kune Do (self-discovery range) is the set of principles and training methodology developed by Bruce Lee. At
MFCA, we teach the original JKD philosophies and Jun Fan curriculum as passed down from Sifu Richard Bustillo
(original Bruce Lee student).

Jun Fan Gung Fu is the collection of physical techniques developed by Bruce Lee in his personal research of the
martial arts. The Jun Fan curriculum emphasizes economy of motion in four basic ranges of combat: kicking,
punching, trapping (hand immobilization) and grappling (both stand-up and ground fighting).

Escrima

knife and more. Learn the best "Battle Tested" techniques of the Filipino Martial Arts. Training includes both stand-
up and ground fighting techniques utilizing strikes, takedowns, jointlocks, chokes and more.
